Pacific Heights Residence

The Pacific Heights residence is a renovation of a 1951 William Wurster home aimed at preserving the mid-century modern aesthetic and historical integrity of the structure while updating the interior spaces and building systems for energy-efficient, modern living. The reconfigured floor plan allows for additional windows around the courtyard to enhance the indoor-outdoor connections so prevalent in Wurster designs. Iconic Wurster building materials such as horizontal siding and paneling, wood windows and doors, a neutral color palette, and refined detailing reinforce the historical elements of the original residence.
