Lafayette Residence

The Lafayette residence is a renovation of the living area within a 1965 Bay Area ranch house. Situated on an expansive half-acre lot replete with gardens and a pool, the yard was designed to entertain, however the existing spaces closed their backs to the California weather. By moving the kitchen and combining several spaces into one, the residence was reconnected to the outdoors, with sight lines from every major space.
