Menlo Park Residence
The Menlo Park residence is a renovation of a 1956 ranch house, updating the interior spaces and building systems to function for a small family. The floor plan was reconfigured, opening the kitchen, living room, and previously claustrophobic dining room, into a lofted great room. The once ominous fireplace was relocated as a offset feature and additional windows peer into the courtyard where special care was taken to preserve the site’s many heritage trees. Modern materials and fixtures completed the updated bedroom, bathrooms, & utility spaces.
